Prayer is essential to reaching the children of the world with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. The ministry cannot be accomplished in our own strength, but only in complete dependence on the Lord. At Child Evangelism Fellowship®, the importance of prayer as our foundation is one of ourculture points.
“It is not the work we do, the meetings we hold or the decisions we make that bring the greatest advances in the work; it is the time spent before the throne of God in prayer, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that brings power, laborers, and resources into the ministry.”
Every year on the first Wednesday in November, we set aside the entire day to bring requests before the Lord. At the International Headquarters, we engage in corporate prayer, prayer walks, small group gatherings, and individual times of petitioning the Lord for the work of reaching the next generation. At other places across the country and around the world, people gather in offices, restaurants, churches, etc to pray.

What a great and fun way to kick-off a year of Good News Clubs! This will be a morning of worship, fellowship and training for the upcoming school year. All interested may attend. "If we don't eat, we don't meet" - come hungry! If you feel God is speaking to you and leading you to partner with us in this ministry, here’s how to start:

Contact our office and speak to a staff member.
Attend a Good News Club/JYC Club Basic Training session like this. Encouraged to bring a friend.
The club is an exciting, fun-filled day that includes: dynamic Bible lessons, creative learning activities, inspiring missionary story, meaningful songs, life-changing Scripture memorization.
Children will learn:
•God loves them
•Every person has value
•How God can help them do the right thing, find victory in hard times, show love to others, etc.
Who teaches the club?
Christians who are concerned for the spiritual well-being of children teach the club. These teachers have received specialized training from CEF and are carefully screened as required by the child protection policy of CEF.

5 Day Clubs (5DC) are open to all boys and girls, K-6th grade, regardless of of religious background. Parents are welcome to attend with their child(ren).
Parents must arrange transportation to the 5DC location and pick up each child promptly at the 5DC end time. Our policies do not allow 5DC workers to remain after club. If your child is not picked up immediately after club multiple times, he/she will not be allowed to continue attending. Thank you for your understanding.

Christian Youth in Action (CYIA™), is a missions program specifically designed for high school students and young adults. CYIA provides, training, materials, and ministry opportunities to help students confidently share their faith with children in their very own communities by teaching 5-Day Clubs throughout Southern California.
